Family

Yesterday was alot of fun. We had our 4th annual Marsden reunion out at Lewis Ville Park. Every summer for the last 49 1/2 years, my grandmother's family reunion has been out there, and about 5 years ago my aunt's and father decided to start one for my grandparents. We lost my grandmother back in 2003 so it's nice that they started it up so that we can all celebrate our parents/grandparents love and marriage. Plus it's another way to hold on to her for me and it helps to cope with my grandfathers new marriage. Don't get me wrong, I like his new wife and think she a very nice woman. And I'm very happy that she makes my grandfather happy.

But back to the subject. Alot of my cousin's were not able to come which made it smaller then normal but there were still plenty of us there to have a great time. Friday night, my sister in law and I went to the dollar store to buy some candy because I thought it would be fun to make a grab box to the kidos. We started wondering through the store to see if we could find anything else that might be fun. We found ourselves down the craft aisle and found some foam stickers and picture frames. Sweet deal, for 5 bucks we got dinos, various auto motives, and girlie accessories. It was a big hit, all the kids sat down and made one.

Later my cousin, Raya, My brother Matt and his wife, and myself took the kids down to the park to play. Surprisingly, the park keepers really fixed the park up. Took all the old toys and swings out, put all new stuff in and paved the rock paths. We, adults,  started talking about how the marry go round ( I think is the name of the turny thing) was gone and the changed up the swings and they we started talking laughing thinking back to my brothers experience the year before.  My brother Matt and Raya's brothers Robby and Jeremy were trying to make the thing go as fast as they could. One of the kids started to get scared and wanted off, so my brother thought he would just grab on to the bar and slow it down. Well...he grabbed on but it didn't slow it down but he did make us all laugh very hard. When Matt grabbed on to the bar it took him with; he went flying, did like a double back roll and stopped just as he got to the A frame bar of the swings.

After the reunion, we all hung out at my dad's house. When that ten minute rain storm hit that was so cool to watch we all gathered around the back door and watched it. Then it hit me that we have a bunch of stuff that was unpacked from the car just sitting on the porch. I went running and started moving the stuff in side as fast as possible, but the funny part was that my cousin came running out the door remembering all of his house windows were open luckily his roommate was home and closed them before he got there.
