Welcoming Spring

Even though the weather is not welcoming spring, I  very much am.
With fresh strawberries, blueberries, and now blackberries in store, snack around the house have gotten much sweeter. Rejoined the gym, more outside play time, spring cleaning, and food storage.
This weekend we (my hubs) are putting in shelves in the garage to store all the canning that I'm working on.
Painting my bedroom in on my list of items along with getting a new dresser possibly, looking for a bed frame and ordering new bedding.

Berry picking in the near future on a Saturday with hubs and boys, once the weather is truly nice. Is a goal in my view.

My big brother is going to work on somethings in my back yard, including a garden area so I can grow some of my veggies, and plant some beautiful flowers. Finishing off the back yard completed with a play area for the boys and a sitting area for us (including my 8 foot Eiffel Tower that is a one of a kind that my dad made for me for my wedding) to watch them. Replace the picnic table that was broken two years ago from a wind storm.

Oh how I love that spring brings so much enthusiasm and inspiration.
Here a pic of a low-fat cheese cake that Carter and I made from scratch on the first day of Spring.

"Yum, its good mommy" he said.

Here is video of Mason's new milestone too
Last Friday and Saturday it just clicked

This video is from a two weeks ago.

Enjoy the sunny day, and Happy Spring!

Sister Pride

Today I was going to blog about how I added two more items to my etsy shop but I'm feeling some major sister pride yesterday and today for all three of my sisters.

My older sister, my sister in law, and my little stepsister have are all three making me so proud to have them as my sisters and I love them so much.

My older sister has not had the easiest of life but the last couple years she has really got it together and focusing on what important. About 6 years ago she got together with a guy and he has helped her get esteem and they cleaned up their life's together, and got her kids back.
The summer before I got married she graduated with her high school completion instead of her G.E.D (little higher)  and started on her AA degree in Business Management. I'm so proud of her, this week she finished out her finals and is finished. Summer: Graduation

My sister in law. She is just an amazing person and truly one of my best friends. She is there for me when I need to talk and vise versa, our boys are the same age, and just truly a good person. Lately she has been going through a rough time with the passing of her grandfather but she was strong while dealing with all the family stuff she had to do. She is someone I can open up to and rely on. We text daily to each other and I'm so happy our friendship has grown so much.

My little step sister. She was 4 when our parents were married, and I was 15 but we had like a instant sister connection. I've always been very protective of her. Working at Mountain View since her sophomore year I was able to watch over her a little and check in with he friends but now that she is away at college I can't. Last year she graduate from high school and went off to school. I'm proud of how beautiful of a woman she has grown/growing into and I love her so much. I miss her too. She is off on her first spring break trip with some friends this week, so I'm very nervous. With just months away from her moving home I'm counting down the days for my fav shopping partner to come home.

I did it

Last blog My first item  I talked about how I was waiting for my business license, well I couldn't wait anymore and just want ahead and opened my etsy shop. For those who don't know etsy, its a handmade, craft supply, vintage website that lets people sell their stuff. I opened one finally after a good year & 1/2 talking about doing so.

Just hope I get the name I picked! LOL

I opened the shop up with the name that I really liked and hoping I get approved, but if not guess I'll just have to close it and reopen with the name I got. But it feels so good to have this accomplished. Even though I found other blocks for sale I'm keeping a positive attitude about it because I'm not over charging for my blocks (my opinion). I also offer personalizing.

Here is the site check it out! www.jadorecraftsboutique.etsy.com
It means I adore crafts. The name is very me! Crafty and french!

Side note:
Here is a song I'm in love with lately that keep me smiling and thinking of my wedding day; even though this song came out two years later it still makes me think of the day.

The Waiting Game

Saturday night I applied for my business license, now I'm waiting to see if I get my approval and which name was approved. One more item checked off my to do list, and it feels great to have it done. The only down part is that I'm not a patient person in sort of thing so as I make a dent in the road from walking to the mailbox everyday checking for my letter; I'll craft, get business cards ready, and workout to keep my mind busy.

I have my first item ready so I'll give you a little sneak peak to them, I'm also going to finish setting my etsy shop but I have to wait for the name.

These are my Easter ones but I have every occasion available, including baby and wedding!!!

Here are my monkey baby boy, I haven't finished it yet but I thought I'd share it.

Simple Heart

This weekend has been filled with much fun and shoes.

Starting off this weekend, Hubs and I went out Buffalo Wild Wings. He has been wanting to try them out for some time now so finally we did to watch the Blazer game and have a little date night. So off to the in laws our boys went. Not very long date but well taken in.

Every other Saturday we take the boys out to Lowes for their built it workshop. Carter loves building all the stuff out there and very much looks forward to it, much as I to see him so excited about.
After home it was to relax and take some quite time in, and a 20 min nap on the couch together while Mason napped, and Carter played near by. 20 mins is too long for him not to have the attention of one of us. Around 230 I headed over to the mall for some shopping and three new pairs of shoes!! I stopped myself there. And a few new clothes for hubs.

Home it was, but not for long. After letting my hubs know that we were not going to be able to go to my mom's house for the day on Sunday, to take my niece and nephew out bowling with the boys and my mom, he said lets go tonight.

Carter LOVES!! bowling, he is a big fan of all sports, and his fav is normally the first one to pop into his head. Gold, bowling, soccer, basketball, baseball, the list goes on and on.

When hubs asked Carter if he wanted to go bowling much excitement lite up his face. Then my hubs brought out the sweet and simple heart of my son. He said, "I don't have any moneys (yes moneys), do you have any?" I so thought it would have broke my son's little spirit but only a little and then he ran off. Sitting in our room, hubs could see Carter who ran into his room, picked up piggy and brought it to out room and put it at my hubs feet, with a concerned and angelic look he pointed to piggy. It just broke my heart, one that my hubs said that to him and two that he would think of his piggy to pay for it. Hubs felt so bad after it and said that's ok, daddy will pay for bowling. Then Carter and I put Piggy back safely.

Off to bowl we went with my cousin, and Chris and Amanda Benson and Shyla. Had a good time with good friends and family.  Carter partied hard!

The cutest little bowling shoes!
One of a million jumping high fives of the night

Mason enjoying fries since he is too little to bowl, even thought he really wanted to

Today is the DAY!

Well hopefully it's the day.

Ive been working on craft items that I'm planning on selling on Etsy and the Farmers Market here in Vancouver. As soon as I get a conformation to make sure that the name I picked really mean what I believe it does, I'm applying for my business license. Must have one for the market, but I'm getting so excited. The more I think about it the more I think of to create. My goal is to be able to pay for Carter's preschool next year with the money. Even though we can afford it, I still wanna bring in some money on my off season from coaching. I think I might keep it going during season too.

I'm always coming up with a different project to do around the house, and LOVE crafting. So I thought why not start a little craft business where I do all types of crafts, boys and girls themed, (with having two boys I don't get to do girl stuff much) so why not start a business to sell all my ideas and strive for the goal of paying for Carter's preschool.

Here is a sneak peak of my first items, what's it going to be????

Hint: Easter

Day 2

While I sit here next to the kitchen window watching the rain pour down, I ponder what to make for dinner. This is not an easy task anymore to just jump and make what I have. I must now make sure it's a rounded out meal for myself. I've always been a good eater, little light on the meat side, mostly ground turkey and chicken with steak here and there. Stating last year off with having had my second son, via a second c-section I had problems healing. Instead of just being "lazy" taking it easy to heal, I had a 2 1/2 year old to chase and take care of. I opened the stitches a few times which lead to seeing I wasn't stitched right so I had to have it fixed.  Finally, in May I was able to start working out again, but in June it came to a halt after an wreck I was in. Being injured from that it's taken me time to get the baby weight off.

This week I broke down and became a member of weight watchers. I wasn't getting much results from just my little workouts I can do with pt, and trying to eat right. I know that I don't always eat the healthiest, but for most part I do. It was time to get some help. So here I am in the kitchen figuring out what to eat for dinner, and checking my daily points.

So far it seems I'm eating A LOT more then I normally do in a day. I'm not much of a breakfast person so that is a change, and watching what I put in my mouth. At lunch time the boys were eating some Ritz, and I picked one up, to put it to my mouth, stopped and remembered that I have to count the points on it.  Maybe this is my problem, snacking. Full hearted I'm wrapping my mind around weight watchers. I hope is works correctly, and that I can follow it correctly to see some results.   On to the next days I go.
